It’s about three very different families who are competing to own the same 1920s Spanish-style villa that they think will solve all their problems. Yes, the plot is a bit slow to resolve, doesn’t immediately grab you emotionally, and there are a lot of side stories.
I loved it, I knew it would be worth it, and it was. I fell in love with all the side characters, I love the casting and the different comedic timing and portrayal of emotions by the different actors.
The only actors I didn’t like were Lisa and Ray, which was crazy because I’m actually a huge fan of Lisa and watched the show mostly for her. I didn’t like Lisa’s presence on the show (and Ray’s voice) and I think the lack of chemistry throughout the series made it feel like there was no center of gravity.
And they should have been the ones to unify the story. I understand from other reviews that other people have different opinions on their acting, and I respect that, but for me, they weren’t the best possible roles for the actors.
